To add a chord you have three options: <b>1)</b> Upload a file with the chord definition with the File transfer option in the Chords page menu, <b>2)</b> Create the chord by entering a name and typing the definition, with the add chord option in the menu, and <b>3)</b> enter chords in bulk from a file in comma separeted values (CSV) format.<br><br>

All the chords from the database can be exported using the Export to CSV function. A file called "exported_chords.csv" will be created at the location of your choice. This is useful to have a backup if you have entered many custom chords.

For procedure <b>3)</b> the definition of the chords is given in comma separated values format. The first cell is the name of the chord, and as before, it can contain more than one name. The second cell holds the position of the fret or the capo, as before. From the third to the ninth cell the fingerings of the chord are defined, with the same rules as before. Different fingerings for the same chord can be entered as different lines starting with the same chord name. Here is an example for the C and C#,Db chords:<br><br>

If the name for the chord imported or edited already exists, it will not be imported since the existing chord can be edited if needed. To create a new chord with the same name the existing chord has to be deleted.<br><br>
