Here "invite" is a noun, short for "invitation". $numInvites (Number) - The number of invites remaining, an integer (0 or higher). The "[one]" and "[other]" are special Fluent syntax to mark plural categories that depend on the value of "$numInvites". You can use any number of plural categories that work for your locale: "[zero]", "[one]", "[two]", "[few]", "[many]" and/or "[other]". The "*" marks a category as default, and is required.
