Release 1.3 on GGI at the OSPO Alliance Purpose: Your translations help to translate a handbook into other languages to make it easier to implement what is described in there. Issues: In case you have issues with or questions for a string, please use the comment function for the respective string. Contact: If you have general questions or are interested to contribute beyond the translations, send us an [](mailto:ossgovernance@ow2.org). PDF: See CI created PDF translations here. Please regard Weblate's push delays of up to 24 hours and the Jenkins run timing, so your changes could take up to a theoretical maximum of 48 hours minus 2 seconds to appear in Jenkins.

Most large end-users and systems integrators already use Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS) either in their information systems or product and service divisions. Open source compliance has become an ever-growing concern, and many large companies have established compliance officers. However, while sanitising a company's open-source production chain – which is what compliance is about – is fundamental, users *must* give back to communities and contribute to the sustainability of the open-source ecosystem. We see open source governance encompassing the whole ecosystem, engaging with local communities, nurturing a healthy relationship with open source software vendors and service specialists. This takes compliance to the next level, and this is what open source _good_ governance is about.
La maggior parte degli utilizzatori finali e degli integratori di sistemi utilizza già codice libero e aperto (FOSS: Free e Open Source Software), sia nei propri sistemi informativi che all'interno delle proprie divisioni di prodotto o di servizi. La conformità al corretto utilizzo di software open source è una questione la cui importanza è cresciuta nel tempo, e molte grandi aziende hanno predisposto delle strutture dedicate alla conformità open source. Tuttavia, mentre è fondamentale impostare correttamente la filiera produttiva open source di un'azienda, attività che è poi proprio l'ambito di cui si occupa la conformità, *è necessario* che gli utilizzatori finali forniscano in cambio il proprio contributo alla sostenibilità dell'intero ecosistema open source. Noi consideriamo la buona governance dell'open source come un qualcosa che riguarda l'intero ecosistema, stabilendo legami con le comunità open source, promuovendo e alimentando una sana relazione con chi offre prodotti open source e servizi specialistici ad esso legati. Tutto questo porta la conformità ad un livello più elevato, e questo è ciò di cui si occupa la Good Governance Initiative.
