Instructions for translators

Many thanks for your support.

Various texts from different sources are displayed in the OSM Apps Catalog. In Weblate the texts can be translated, which is only used by the application itself. Other texts come from the wiki.openstreetmap.org directly or indirectly, e.g.

  • from the Software Template, which can be used for the documentation of OpenStreetMap software / applications. These should be translated directly in the wiki.
  • The texts for the apps can also be translated directly in the wiki.

Feel free to add new languages.

Im OSM Apps Catalog werden verschiedene Texte aus unterschiedlichen Quellen anzeigt. In Weblate können die Texte übersetzt werden, welche nur von der Applikation selber verwendet wird. Andere Texte stammen aus dem wiki.openstreetmap.org direkt oder indirekt. z.B.

  • aus dem Software Template, welches für die Dokumation von OpenStreetMap Software / Applikationen verwendet werden kann. Diese sollten direkt im Wiki übersetzt werden.
