Dear translators,

We're already at the release candidate stages, and we are almost there. About the translations, we just discovered two important settings:

1. The glossary, this short list of terms contains often used words and ensures a consistent translation of those words. Please finish the glossary first.

2. We got support from OpenAI, which has translations unmatched by anything else so far! I sorted all strings on number of words and then selected automatic translations and found an amazing number of improvements. Since it involves quite a few clicks, please copy the following URL and change the '/en/' for your country code: https://hosted.weblate.org/translate/nicotine-plus/nicotine-plus/en/?offset=&q=&sort_by=-num_words&checksum=

   So even if the translation strings are marked 100% done, there is probably some room for improvement.

Dear nicotine+ translator,

I just got the announcement from Mathias — the main developer — that we are very close to releasing 3.3.0, which will contain a ton of improvements and bugfixes. See here for the main changes: https://github.com/nicotine-plus/nicotine-plus/blob/master/NEWS.md

He also mentioned that we are done changing the translation strings for the upcoming release.

And now for the not so good news, the automatic translation strings feature has been hidden away behind a paywall for the major platforms Google Translate and Microsoft Translate. Oh well, let's use our own brains again.

Please have a look at the strings, there are a lot of updates. We are looking forward to your translation contributions, it really means a lot!

Dear translators,

Thanks for your tremendous effort, keeping the ever-changing strings for Nicotine+ up to date. We're almost coming to the end of our next development cycle which will result in the release of Nicotine+-3.3.0. And we only expect a few minor changes to the current strings.

Therefore I'd like to invite you to take another look at the strings and hope you will find the time and energy to bring them up to date once more.

We are getting close to the next release of nicotine+-3.2.0 and have frozen all translation strings, so no more unexpected changes will come from us. We hope you can have a look at the status of your preferred language and see if there is anything left to do.

Please consider using: Tools→Automatic translation, select engines, google and microsoft do a great job, and then let it run.

After which you only have to check for silly errors. Shares are often translated as Stocks and bonds, for instance.
