@tjhietala Correct, more concretely it would be "gets multiplied with the output value of the Opacity setting". This is another historical remnant, where 'opaque' refers to the internal name (still unchanged) of the opacity setting. I'll probably spend some time creating comments for these occurrences during the weekend.

@jplloyd Cheers, I think that clears it up sufficiently. I wasn't sure if it was just that, or there's something behind it that would allow for an easily understandable, if lengthier translation.

Direct translation of technical terms, while sufficient and often indeed preferred by some (myself included), might be confusing for most. Especially in languages where in many fields even professionals and scholars use either clunky literal translations that don't mean much to "outsiders", or outright English terms. I'll try my best in the translation.

@blake Oh, I misread your comment. Well, basically the "Pigment" mode is exactly that, splitting up the colors into a number of spectral slices, then mixing them together in a way that is similar to subtractive mixing.

@blake Sorry about this one, it's hard to describe succinctly. I should add some translation comments on this one.

This is the gist of subtractive mixing: http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/vision/subcol.html

Spectral refers to the mixed colors each being split up into spectral components - weighted slices of the color spectrum - which are then mixed together - slice for slice.

I realize that this will be hard to translate, so feel free to substitute something more descriptive in your translation, as long as it is consistent.

I guess "This gets multiplied with opaque" should more properly be "This gets multiplied with opacity"?

I'm having a hard time translating this - not because I don't know what subtractive and spectral means, but rather I don't understand the relation to how the pigment mode works. Is there any documentation to it, or should I attempt to read the code if I want to understand the mechanics behind the mode?
