Gauguin is a Sudoku-like game where you solve grids via calculation and logic.

You can use it to relax or to solve difficult grids. Whatever you prefer.

In classic mode, you solve a 9x9 grid by typing a value from 1 to 9 in each cell such as
— Each row and column contains each digit exactly once.
— Each cage meets its given mathematical problem. E.g. a group of cells labeled with '5+' must be filled such that the sum of all digits is 5.

Via game options, you may alter the game to solve other digits, smaller or greater grids, hiding the operators.

— No switching of 'pencil mode' or such thing is needed: To set a value of a cell, just use short-tap to alter a possible value and long-tap for a known value.
— 'Fast Finishing Mode' enables to fill cell with exactly one pencil mark rapidly.
— Uses colors from the painting 'The Siesta' from Paul Gauguin (guess where the app's name comes from…)

Gauguin est un jeu inspiré du Sudoku où vous devez résoudre des grilles à l'aide de calculs et de votre logique.

Utilisez Gauguin pour vous détendre, ou mettez-vous au défi en essayant de résoudre des grilles difficiles.

En mode classique, vous devez résoudre une grille 9x9 en remplissant chacune des cases avec une valeur de 1 à 9. Mais attention !
— Un chiffre ne peut être présent qu'une seule fois par ligne et par colonne.
— Vous devez résoudre le problème mathématique de chacune des cages. Par exemple, un groupe de cases libellé « 5+ » doit être rempli de telle sorte que la somme des chiffres du groupe est 5.

Dans les options du jeu, vous pouvez choisir d'utiliser d'autres chiffres pour remplir les cases, de faire varier la taille de la grille, de masquer les opérateurs et bien plus encore.

— Pas de « mode crayon » ou quoi que ce soit ! Pour modifier une case, il suffit d'un appui simple pour marquer une valeur possible et un appui long pour une valeur connue.
— Le mode Fin rapide vous permet de remplir rapidement les cellules avec une seule note au crayon.
— Le jeu utilise les couleurs du tableau « La sieste » de Paul Gauguin. (Devinez d'où vient le nom du jeu.)

Gauguin ist ein sudoku-artiges Spiel, bei dem es darum geht, alle Ziffern eines Spielfeldes durch Rechnen und logisches Denken zu füllen.

Ob man es nutzt, um zur Ruhe zu kommen oder wegen der Herausforderung sehr schwieriger Rätsel, ist jedem selbst überlassen.

Der klassische Spielmodus besteht aus einem 9x9 Spielfeld, in dem wie bei einem Sudoku die Ziffern 1 bis 9 eingetragen werden müssen, und zwar nach folgenden Regeln:
— Jede Zeile und jede Spalte müssen jede Ziffer exakt einmal enthalten.
— Jede Gruppe von Zellen wird durch eine Mathematikaufgabe beschrieben, d.h. aus einem Operator und dem Ergebnis. Die Ziffern der Gruppe müssen diese Aufgabe erfüllen. Bei einer Gruppe mit der Aufgabe '5+' müssen also die Ziffern aller Zellen dieser Gruppe zusammen die Summe 5 ergeben.

Mittels der Spieloptionen kann man diverse Einstellungen vornehmen, um z.B. mit anderen Ziffern zu spielen, oder mit größeren oder kleineren Spielfeldern. Man kann auch die Operatoren ausblenden.


<b>Moderne UI</b>

— Kein Umschalten notwendig, um zwischen der Eingabe einer möglichen Ziffer und einer Ziffer, die man hergeleitet hat: Eine kurze Berührung trägt eine mögliche Ziffer ein, eine lange Berührung eine hergeleitete Ziffer.
— Der Schnelleingabe-Modus ermöglicht es, am Ende des Spiels schnell eindeutige Zellen zu füllen, ohne dass man bei jeder Zelle drücken und halten muss.
— Benutzt Farben, die stark an das Bild "Die Siesta" von Paul Gauguin angelehnt sind (was den Namen der APP erklären könnte).


<b>Spieloptionen</b>

— Größe des Spielfelds: von 3x3 bis 11x11, mit 9x9 als klassischer Größe
— Inklusive rechteckigen Spielfeldern, wie 7x9

<b>Was noch nicht funktioniert</b>

— Nicht alle Varianten werden in angemessener Zeit berechnet (z.B. benötigt ein 4x8 Spielfeld zur Berechnung mehr Akku als einem lieb ist).
— Es gibt noch kein Tutorial oder ähnliches, lediglich einen Infotext beim ersten Start.
— Nicht alle Spielvarianten sind schon mit einer Schwierigkeitseinteilung versehen.
