Instructions for translators
<p>"Pyrates" has been developed primarily as a teaching aid for the course I teach on software localization. Please do not translate the Polish strings; we will work on them with my students during in-class activities. Feel free to add languages other than Polish. Also, feel free to use "Pyrates" for educational purposes. Moreover:</p> <ul> <li>Instructions for the game can be found on <a rel="ugc" target="_blank" href="https://sourceforge.net/p/pyrates-game/wiki/Pyrates%20%E2%80%93%20player%27s%20guide/">Sourceforge</a>.</li> <li>The games can be played in English on Replit.com: https://tinyurl.com/mrywrkkp</li> <li>The content of date strings, like {:%B %d, %Y (%A)}, can be modified, as long as you preserve the curly brackets and the initial colon (:). The list of variables that you can use inside the string is available <a rel="ugc" target="_blank" href="https://sourceforge.net/p/pyrates-game/wiki/Translator%27s%20guide/">here (section "Localizing dates")</a>.</li> </ul>

  • Translations can be made directly.
  • Translation suggestions can be made.
  • Any authenticated user can contribute.
  • The translation uses bilingual files.
