## How does importing work?

After selecting an archive or folder, you will be asked which configuration items should be imported.
Click **Apply** to start the import process.

Import order:

1. Desktop configuration (icons, themes, fonts, extensions, settings, etc.)
2. Flatpak applications and their user data (after next login)

Flatpak installation and removal start **after you log back into the system**.

## Available options

### List of installed Flatpak apps

Saves and restores the list of installed Flatpak applications.

### User data of installed Flatpak apps

Allows you to include user data of selected Flatpak applications.
Click the **">"** button to choose which apps should have their data saved.

### Keep installed Flatpak apps and data (enabled by default)

When enabled, Save Desktop **will NOT remove Flatpak applications or their data that are not present in the archive**.

When disabled, Save Desktop will **remove any installed Flatpak apps that are not listed in the imported archive — including their user data**.

⚠️ **Warning:**
Disable this option only if you intentionally want your system to exactly match the imported archive. Removed applications and their data **cannot be recovered**.

This is a major update with many new features and changes. To ensure a great experience for everyone, I’ve just added the new strings to Weblate.

Hello translators,

I’m starting a cleanup of inactive and outdated translations in the Save Desktop project.

Going forward, translations that:

  • have less than 70 % completion, and

  • show no activity for 3+ months

    may be removed from the project to keep the translation set clean and usable for users.

    If you are currently working on a translation or plan to continue, please make some progress in the coming weeks to keep the language active. If your translation is already complete — thank you for your contribution.

I hope you are doing well.

I switched the translation system from JSON to Gettext PO/POT and added one new string, “Copy.” I tried to make the transition as smooth as possible, but you may find some minor errors in your translations – if you have a moment, please check them. And if you haven't translated the new string yet, it would be great if you could add it.
