Here you can decide on how many seconds of flight this calculation must be done. The real distance covered second by second in this period is divided by the final difference of altitude. So if for example you go and return back to the same point after 2 minutes, and you have set 2 minutes as period, averageLD will consider the total distance covered in those two minutes , and NOT the distance between your position 2 minutes before and your current position, that in this case could be almost zero! Normally for gliders a good value is 90-120 seconds, and for PG/HG 15 seconds. Lower values will give as a result pretty much the same as LD Instant , while higher values will look like LD Cruise. Other commercial instruments and software use 2 minutes. This parameter is also used to calculating Average Ground Speed. Hier kann man einstellen mit welcher Zeitdifferenz diese Berechnung durchgeführt wird. Die in der Zeitdifferenz zurückgelegte Strecke wird durch die Höhendifferenz geteilt. Fliegt man z.B. von einer bestimmten Position vor und kehrt nach zwei Minuten an die Ausgangsposition zurück und hat zwei Minuten als Zeitdifferenz eingestellt wird für die mittlere Gleitzahl die in dieser Zeit zurückgelegte Strecke betrachtet und NICHT der Abstand zwischen der jetzigen Position und der Position vor zwei Minuten, denn der ist ja in diesem Fall nahe Null! Für Segelflugzeuge sind 90-120 Sekunden ein guter Wert, für Gleitschirm- und Drachenflieger 15 Sekunden. Geringere Werte führen zu momentanen Gleitzahlen, während größere Werte zu Streckengleitzahlen führen. Viele kommerzielle Instrumente und Programme benutzen 120 Sekunden. a month ago
