Instructions for translators

The code blocks are included in the Gettext files in case if some comments need to be translated. You can add comments as well.

For code blocks without comment, please flag them as ignore-same, if you don't the permission, comment in a GitHub PR to let me know. For links that refer to a title inside an md file, please add a Link Modification Req tag.

The Gettext and markdown files in docs/locales are specific for languages.

Check contributing for current guidelines.

To merge a translation into the main Klipper repository, certain requirements have to be met. We are still determining the requirements and no merging is planned. - Yifei Ding

  • Translations can be made directly.
  • Translation suggestions can be made.
  • Any authenticated user can contribute.
  • The translation uses bilingual files.

Be sure that your mechanical components are able to handle the load of the carriage bumping into the limit of the axis repeatedly. Especially leadscrews might generate a lot of force. Homing a Z axis by bumping the nozzle into the printing surface might not be a good idea. For best results, verify that the axis carriage will make a firm contact with the axis limit.
Assurez-vous que vos composants mécaniques sont capables de supporter la charge du chariot heurtant à plusieurs reprises la fin de course de l'axe. This guide covers the setup of sensorless homing for the X axis of your (cartesian) printer. However, it works the same with all other axes (that require an end stop). You should configure and tune it for one axis at a time.

Klipper can also use Trinamic drivers in their "standalone mode". However, when the drivers are in this mode, no special Klipper configuration is needed and the advanced Klipper features discussed in this document are not available.
