Instructions for translators

The code blocks are included in the Gettext files in case if some comments need to be translated. You can add comments as well.

For code blocks without comment, please flag them as ignore-same, if you don't the permission, comment in a GitHub PR to let me know. For links that refer to a title inside an md file, please add a Link Modification Req tag.

The Gettext and markdown files in docs/locales are specific for languages.

Check contributing for current guidelines.

To merge a translation into the main Klipper repository, certain requirements have to be met. We are still determining the requirements and no merging is planned. - Yifei Ding

  • Translations can be made directly.
  • Translation suggestions can be made.
  • Any authenticated user can contribute.
  • The translation uses bilingual files.

The above tests three steppers simultaneously stepping. If running the above results in a "Rescheduled timer in the past" or "Stepper too far in past" error then it indicates the `ticks` parameter is too low (it results in a stepping rate that is too fast). The goal is to find the lowest setting of the ticks parameter that reliably results in a successful completion of the test. It should be possible to bisect the ticks parameter until a stable value is found.
Ces tests simulent le déplacement de trois moteurs pas à pas simultanément. Si son exécution entraîne une erreur "Rescheduled timer in the past" or "Stepper too far in past", cela indique que le paramètre `ticks` est trop faible (il en résulte une vitesse de pas trop rapide) . L'objectif est de trouver le réglage le plus bas du paramètre ticks qui aboutit de manière fiable à la réussite du test. Il devrait être possible de rechercher par dichotomie le paramètre ticks jusqu'à ce qu'une valeur stable soit trouvée.

In general, the pins for the benchmark tests are chosen to flash LEDs or other innocuous pins. **Always verify that it is safe to drive the configured pins prior to running a benchmark.** It is not recommended to drive an actual stepper during a benchmark.

The step rate benchmark is designed to find the maximum stepping rate that the hardware and software can reach. This benchmark stepping rate is not achievable in day-to-day use as Klipper needs to perform other tasks (eg, mcu/host communication, temperature reading, endstop checking) in any real-world usage.
