Instructions for translators

Advice (optional to read)

If you want to look where a certain string appears in the source code, go here, and replace chartLengthInSeconds in the search bar at the top left with the key of the string in question.

This goes for practically any project, but I'll reiterate: a bad translation is worse than no translation. If you don't know what's the meaning of what you're translating, it's better to ask in the comments and skip the string for now. Untranslated strings will be displayed in English anyway.

Feel free to add new languages (you'd need to create an account for that (which I recommend anyway)). Although it's best to make sure beforehand that they are actually currently supported in browsers so you work doesn't go to waste, so text me.

Feel free to contact me (or simply write comments) if you face any trouble translating (e.g. if it's not possible to properly translate a string with placeholders).

If you've made a translation but the extension doesn't appear to display in that language, please reach out to me. I might have messed up language codes.

Side note: If you want translation activity to be displayed on your GitHub profile, you also have to star or fork WofWca/jumpcutter-translations. It's because translations are used as a submodule in the main repo. See GitHub docs.

Use separate silence skipping settings for different algorithms (related to the "$useExperimentalAlgorithmLabel$" setting)

This is similar to "margin before". When it was loud and then became silent, how many seconds we need to wait before speeding up (switching to silence speed).
This is mostly to keep pauses in the speech at least to some degree so words don't get mushed together and to ensure that you can clearly hear the very last letters in a sentence.
Unlike "margin before" this doesn't cause audio distortion & delay (but it's not to say that these settings are interchangeable).
При переходе с громкого уі з гучної частка виини відео на тихийу, сколькоільки секунд ждатьчекати, перед тем как уим як прискорить вии відео (переключитьсяись на "скорошвидкість на тихих").
Пригодится, если нужно, чтобы последние буквы предложенийСтане в нагоді, якщо потрібно, щоб останні літери речень не проматыотувались, и чтобы сохранить небольшиея, і щоб зберегти невеликі паузы между предложениями.
В отличие от "Зазор перед", эта настройка не вызывает ни искажении між пропозиціями.
На відміну від "Зазор перед", це налаштування не викликає ні спотворення, ни задержі затримки звука (но иу (але і не сказать, что эти две настройки эквии, що ці два налаштування еквівалентныі).

When it's currently silent and then we encounter a loud part, how many seconds prior to it we need to slow down (switch to sounded speed).
This is mostly to ensure that you can clearly hear the very first letters when someone begins to speak.

⚠️ Note that non-zero values will cause audio DISTORTION when switching from silence to sounded speed AND will add constant audio DELAY equivalent to the value of this setting. These drawbacks do not apply if you use the "experimental algorithm".
При переходе сі з тихого уї частка виини відео на громкий, с каким упреждением (вучний, з яким попередженням (у секундах) нужно замедлить випотрібно уповільнити відео (переключитьися на "скорошвидкість на громкучних").
