Instructions for translators

Indie Wiki Buddy is a browser extension that helps redirect users from corporate-run, ad-ridden wiki farms to independently hosted alternatives.

Most of the translations are fairly straight-forward, but there may be some specific search engine- and wiki-related terminology. Please reach out to Kevin if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting Indie Wiki Buddy!

  • Translations can be made directly.
  • Translation suggestions can be made.
  • Any authenticated user can contribute.
  • The translation uses monolingual files.
  • The translation base language is editable.

By default, Indie Wiki Buddy will re-order the results page on Google to move indie wiki results above the first non-indie (Fandom / Fextralife / Neoseeker) result, if they are further down the first page of results. This allows you to find the pages you're looking for on indie wikis quicker.
默认情况下，如独立wiki的搜索结果在第一页靠后的位置，Indie Wiki Buddy将会把这些结果重排到首个非独立wiki（Fandom、Fextralife、Neoseeker）前。这样一来，用户更容易找到所需的独立wiki页面。
