"Місцеположення" і "місцезнаходження" -- калька з російської часів СРСР, що відображено у словниках. В українській мові поєднання слів є рідкісним і більш частим є додавання приростка і наростка (префікса і суфікса). Згідно словників, слово "положення" застосовувалось І. Франком задовго до "місцеположення" та мало ту ж суть. Однак, для більш зручного розуміння можна використати "місце" разом з "положення" як словосполучення, а не одне складне слово, що перейняте калькою з російської.
