Yeah, the more fashionable alternative (thank goodness), is to simply perform the action in question immediately, but offering an obvious way do undo it for a reasonable amount of time. While that would of course be awesome, it's beyond what we translators can do… :-)
We could use the available space instead to emphasize the fact that this is an irreversible action. How about the following, which has more information with less text and less redundancy, so should check all boxes:
Title: Reset excluded apps list? Body: This cannot be undone. Buttons: Cancel/OK (better would be Abort/“Reset list”, but again beyond mare translation)
