Unix-based system (Linux, Mac, etc.): there’s no regulation of file extension, but I usually prefer using ``.sh``, ``.csh``, or ``.bash``, depending on which shell you are going to use. Take bash as an example; it is convenient to put this at the first line of the script (it’s called **sheband**):
