Instructions for translators

We have documented a detailed step by step guide on how to contribute to Stooa's translation.

Check it out!

Anyway, a fast and summarized way to do it would be:

  • Go to the components list.Select the component you want to add the translation.

  • Click the edit button (pencil icon) close to the name of the language where you want to add the missing translation or translations.

  • Find and select the translation's to complete.

  • Complete the translation in the required input field.

  • Press the "Save" button.

  • Repeat the action with as many translation strings you can / you want

    Don't forget to visit our Documentation for further information on how to contribute to Stooa.

  • Translations are reviewed by dedicated reviewers.
  • Any authenticated user can contribute.
  • The translation uses monolingual files.

Stooa has an exclusive feature for that, and as the session organizer, you can see a summary of how it went and all the feedback you received. For me, it's one of the things that has helped me improve meetings the most, without a doubt.

<span>Closure:</span> When the discussion is engaging, time flies, but it's essential to allocate a few minutes at the end for a good conclusion. Depending on the meeting's objectives, you might need to discuss next steps or document the decisions made during the session. What should never be missing is a recap of the most important highlights so that everyone takes away the best from the discussion.
<span>Cierre:</span> cuando el debate es interesante el tiempo se pasa volando, pero es importante guardar unos minutos al final para hacer un buen cierre. Según los objetivos de la reunión igual tenéis que hablar de next steps, o dejar constancia de la decisión a la que habéis llegado en la sesión. Lo que nunca puede faltar es un recap de los highlights más importantes que han salido para que todos nos llevemos lo mejor del debate.

<span>Time for everyone:</span> It's fantastic to see people coming and going, contributing different viewpoints. But when I see someone dominating the conversation, I like to pose open-ended questions to encourage others to join and share their ideas.

<span>The importance of moderation:</span> This is where I come in. Although the Fishbowl dynamics allow for conversations without the presence of a moderator, in my experience, we often veer off-topic when there's no one guiding the discussion. Personally, I prepare questions about the topic and release them when I see that we're repeating the same ideas or straying too far. For effective moderation, it's crucial to have a clear session objective and give voice to all attendees.
<span>La importancia de la moderación:</span> Aquí entro yo, aunque la dinámica del Fishbowl permite tener conversaciones sin la figura de un moderador, en mi experiencia habitualmente nos vamos del tema cuando no hay un encargado de guiar el debate. Personalmente me preparo preguntas sobre el tema y las voy soltando cuando veo que estamos repitiendo las mismas ideas o nos estamos alejando demasiado. Para una buena moderación, es importante tener claro el objetivo de la sesión y dar voz a todos los asistentes.
