rox is a music player. Its interface is one Fluent file per language, with English (en-CA) as the source every other language follows. Translations are licensed like the code, AGPL-3.0-only.

Four things the build checks. Break one and it fails, naming your language and the string:

Some values are already worded when they get to you. { $tracks } is "12 tracks", not 12. { $db } already has its sign and decimal point. { $estimate } is already "about two hours". Add a noun after one of these and you get "12 tracks tracks".

Numbers are formatted for your locale before you see them, so 48000 comes out as 48 000 or 48.000 on its own. Don't type digit separators or change a decimal mark by hand.

Hz, dB and kbps are SI symbols and usually stay as they are. Use your language's settled convention where it has one, the way Russian uses Гц and дБ. f32 and s32 are format tokens; leave them alone.

Word order is yours, and so is punctuation. Japanese uses 、for a comma and Chinese uses （）. Match your own file, not the English.

If a string is ambiguous, read the comment above it: where one exists it says what the string does and where it appears. If there's no comment and you're guessing, open an issue and we'll add one. That's a hole in our source, not a failing on your side.

The English is plain: short, direct, no exclamation marks, no marketing. If it reads blunt, match it.
