I am keeping translations for my SailfishOS apps in separate projects on Weblate: File Browser, Captain's Log, Minidoro, Parking Chaos, Opal and modules
Thank you very, very much for your contributions!

Instructions for translators | Apps for SailfishOSThis is one of my apps and libraries for SailfishOS, a partly-open mobile operating system by Jolla. General guidelinesIf your language has different forms of politeness, prefer the most polite phrasing that still feels “normal” to you. For example, use “Sie” (instead of “du” or “Du”) for translating “you” to German. Remember these are applications, tools you use, and not your neighbourhood buddies. Please do not forget to translate the date formats to your local format. You can find details on the available fields in the Qt documentation. Only translate the app's name if there is a short native term for the app's name in your language. Otherwise copy the original unchanged. Please don't hesitate to add a comment if you find any problem. Thank you for your work! File BrowserThis is a file manager. Use wording normally used on your system (e.g. a GNU/Linux distro) for similar applications. If you are unsure on how to translate a string, see how a similar action is called / translated in your desktop file manager. A good reference is KDE's Dolphin. You can refer to its manual which is available in many languages. Also, if there is a (short) native term for "file manager" or "file browser" in your language, please translate the app's name.

The string is used like this: “How should a filename be elided, i.e. shortened if it is too long to fit into the available screen space?” - “Elide it in the middle, i.e. replace the middle part by an ellipsis.” Other options are to elide the beginning or the end of the filename. 6 months ago |

Good afternoon I would like to ask a question, if I may. By elide you mean: https://es.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/elidir#:~:text=Make%20disappear%2C%20leave%20without%20effect,undo%20something%20or%20make%20it%20d%C3%A9bil. &text=2%20Ling%C3%BC%C3%ADstica%20(fon%C3%A9tica)%2C%20fon%C3%A9tica,crear%20la%20contracci%C3%B3n%20%22del%22. OR https://es.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elisi%C3%B3n ? A hug and thank you for your time and help. 7 months ago |

@gallegonovato Hi :) This string is a context menu entry. When clicked, it clears the clipboard. In other words: after clicking this, the clipboard will be empty but the files that were in the clipboard will not be deleted. So "to clear" is meant as "to empty". 9 months ago |

Good afternoon: I don't understand why this string gives failure. If it is deleting a folder or file, the translation is fine. The only thing it refers to is clear (theme or aspect). I don't know if you could tell me or give me more information? Best regards 9 months ago |

YiB means "Yobibyte" but I think it is safe to say that no one will ever encounter such file sizes on a mobile phone. Just translate it as "YiB" (or equivalent). I marked this warning to be ignored for all languages. 10 months ago |
