Gugal is a clean and lightweight web search app, with a modern, Material 3/You UI.

It supports 2 search engines - Google and searx/SearXNG. Developers are free to add more search engines.

To use Gugal with Google Search you need a CSE ID and API key. Instructions for obtaining both can be found in the app. <b>To get these you have to have a Google account, therefore Google might still link searches to your account. If you want to use a search engine that respects your privacy more, use Gugal with a searx/SearXNG instance.</b>

- Added support for searching using searx or SearXNG. Please note that only instances with API access are supported. Most public instances don't have API access enabled, and it's recommended to self host searx or SearXNG for that reason.
- When Gugal is launched for the first time after an update a list of the changes in that update is shown.
- Added an about page, replacing multiple settings items.
- Added an option to change the credentials.
- Added Russian translation.
- Added Norwegian Bokmål translation (@kingu).
- Fixed scrolling in settings and results.
- Fixed the version text in the Settings page being black.
- On Android 11 and earlier Gugal now uses a light blue color scheme.

For developers:
- Support for more web search engines and on-device searching can be added with SERP providers. To start developing SERP providers see gugal.gitlab.io/serp.
- Unterstützung für die Suche mit Searx oder SearXNG wurde hinzugefügt. Nur Instanzen mit API-Zugang werden unterstützt. Die meistena dies bei öffentlichen Instanzen haben keinen API-Zugang und es wird dahermeist nicht verfügbar ist, wird empfohlen, Searx oder SearXNG selbst zu hosten.
- Wenn Gugal zum ersten Mal nach einem Update gestartet wird, wird eine Liste der letzen Änderungen des Updates angezeigt.
- Es wurde eineangezeigt.
- Info-Seite hinzugefügt, die mehrere Einstellungspunkte ersetzt.
- Option zum Ändern der Anmeldedaten wurde hinzugefügt.
- Russische Übersetzung hinzugefügt.
- Norwegische Bokmål-Übersetzung hinzugefügt (@kingu).
- Scrollen in Einstellungen und Ergebnissen wurde korrigiert.
- Der Versionstext auf der Einstellungsseite ist nun schwarz.
- Unter Android 11 und früher verwendet Gugal nun ein hellblaues Farbschema.

Für Entwickelnde:

- Tablet support was improved.
- Added a "Change theme" setting for switching between system, light and dark themes.
- SearX: added a button for checking if an instance can be used with Gugal.
- An Indonesian translation was added.
- Minor bug fixes and improvements.

- The search page has been redesigned and now has search history. Searches made before this version will not be shown. Search history is kept when the search engine is changed, and can be erased from the app's settings.
- The search widget has been redesigned.
- When an error occurs with a search engine an error screen is shown.
- When the credentials are incorrect search set-up is automatically shown.
- Added support for Android versions as old as Android 7.0.
- The About page has been cleaned up.
- Die Suchseite wurde umgestaltet und enthält jetzt einen Suchverlauf. Suchvorgänge, die vor dieser Version durchgeführt wurden, werden nicht angezeigt. Der Suchverlauf wird beibehalten, wenn die Suchmaschine gewechselt wird, und kann in den Einstellungen der App gelöscht werden.
- Das Such-Widget wurde neu gestaltet.
