Instructions for translators

Ferrite is a Markdown text editor. Most strings are UI labels, menu items, tooltips, and settings descriptions. Guidelines:

  • Keep translations concise - UI space is limited

  • Preserve keyboard shortcut hints in parentheses, e.g., "(Ctrl+S)"

  • Don't translate technical terms like "Markdown", "JSON", "YAML", "Mermaid"

  • For CJK languages: Use appropriate honorific level (neutral/polite)

  • Placeholders like {0}, {count}, {filename} must remain unchanged

    Tone: Professional but friendly, similar to modern desktop applications.
