In order for the statistics to take all the logs into account, <emphasis>AWStats</emphasis> needs to be run right before the Apache log files are rotated. Looking at the <literal>prerotate</literal> directive of <filename>/etc/logrotate.d/apache2</filename> file, this is solved by the <emphasis role="pkg">awstats</emphasis> package by putting a script in <filename>/etc/logrotate.d/httpd-prerotate</filename> running <filename>/usr/share/awstats/tools/update.sh</filename>.
統計はすべてのログに対して取られるため、Apache ログファイルが循環される直前に <emphasis>AWStats</emphasis> を実行する必要があります。<filename>/etc/logrotate.d/apache2</filename> ファイルの <literal>prerotate</literal> 指示文から判断すると、これを解決するには、<filename>/usr/share/awstats/tools/update.sh</filename> へのシンボリックリンクを <filename>/etc/logrotate.d/httpd-prerotate</filename> に作成します。
