In order for the statistics to take all the logs into account, <emphasis>AWStats</emphasis> needs to be run right before the Apache log files are rotated. Looking at the <literal>prerotate</literal> directive of <filename>/etc/logrotate.d/apache2</filename> file, this is solved by the <emphasis role="pkg">awstats</emphasis> package by putting a script in <filename>/etc/logrotate.d/httpd-prerotate</filename> running <filename>/usr/share/awstats/tools/update.sh</filename>.
حتى تأخذ الإحصائيات جميع السجلات بعين الاعتبار، يجب تشغيل <emphasis>AWStats</emphasis> مباشرة قبل تدوير ملفات سجلات أباتشي. بالاطلاع على التعليمة <literal>prerotate</literal> في الملف <filename dir="ltr">/etc/logrotate.d/apache2</filename>، يمكن حل هذه المشكلة بإضافة رابط رمزي للسكربت <filename dir="ltr">/usr/share/awstats/tools/update.sh</filename> في المجلد <filename dir="ltr">/etc/logrotate.d/httpd-prerotate</filename>:
