Instructions for translators

We're just beginning to use Weblate to help us with translating - and maintaining translations of - Chrysalis, so the workflows aren't that well defined yet. Before starting a translation, please get in touch by opening an issue on GitHub.

If any of the source strings are unclear, if you need more context how they're used, feel free to ask on the Keyboardio Discord.

As a possible remedy to various communication issues, Chrysalis can send data to the keyboard in smaller chunks. For historical reasons, this is enabled by default. Only turn it off if you know what you're doing, or were asked to by the Chrysalis developers.

There's a possibility that we misdetected the capabilities of the keyboard, or that the keyboard was starting up while we connected. In this case, you can try clicking the "{{buttonName}}" button to attempt a reconnect, and look for the necessary features again. Reconnecting is useful if you're sure there was a temporary failure upon previous attempts, and the problem has been resolved.
